Some observations

WordPress

I’ve been using WordPress for just a month now and I noticed in my stats that I’m starting to get visitors  who have found pages on my blog through using search strings. One in particular caught my eye “is it worth volunteering”, the search engine obviously found them one of my entries titled “Self worth (and charity volunteering)” as someone visited that page with that search string. All I would like to know is, was it useful to whoever read it? Did my experience of volunteering help the reader decide whether volunteering was more interesting to them because of what I had written? It would have been nice if the reader had commented on my thoughts.

Then there is the poem I entered earlier today. I posted it on another website I subscribe to and some discussion has started up on whether I should have used ‘swam’ instead of ‘swum’ in the first line. I personally don’t care one way or the other if I’ve used a supporting verb or not, it felt better that way when I wrote it, who cares about supporting verbs in poetry?

Finally, today is December 8th, the day my world fell apart. Today is New Years Day for me.
