rebirth | Brooke Shaden Photography.

First off, I sincerely hope I’m not breaking the photographers copyright by linking to and showing this image. I discovered the image when a friend on Facebook highlighted it in a post. Please visit the photographers Flickr website by clicking on the image above, she is an astounding artist!

I’m not sure it follows the photographers idea about the image but it attracted me so much I composed the following:

Rebirth

Earth’s gentle embrace offers reassurance
As she finds herself enwrapped by the land.
All manner of roots caress her delicate skin
Furnishing her mind with sensations anew.
Tenderly roots lower her to a sacred place
Resting her in within the womb of the world.
‘Tis there that life’s seed is delicately sown
With passion unknown in terrestrial life.
As planet and woman embrace one final time
She carries the the seed of hope and rebirth
To give birth to our blue planet refreshed
To bring forth the true child of humankind.
