My Kettle Packed Up Yesterday!

I had a bit of fun this evening 🙂

My kettle packed up yesterday,
no more boiling water the easy way.
Now I have to fill a pan,
though this causes some delay

Turning on the hob,
boiling as much as I need.
Filling up my mug,
is what has been decreed.

No more wasted water,
boiled unnecessarily.
I boil only what I require,
I’m as good as good can be.

Like the poem but the soup in that pot, uhm, not sure about that!

The poem reminds me I should be a little more frugal in things.

    • thought I found a photo of boiling water, now you tell me it is soup! 😉
The frugal bit comes mainly from finding some words that rhymed, I’m not very good at rhyming poetry 🙂
Thanks for reading and commenting Indigo Spider

That is some awfully green water 🙂

I’m not good at rhyming poetry either but they don’t all have to rhyme to be good!

    • I rarely write rhyming poetry, take a look around and you will see my preferred method of writing. My recent stuff has been a bit serious so I needed something to wind down with and came up with my kitchen misfortune of yesterday as a theme.

Maybe it was a green tea pan? lol. You are a survivor dealing with misfortune and recovered nicely.

    • I’m colour blind, so the water looked just fine to me 😀
I made it through, life goes on 🙂
      warm & feathery xx

  4. That’s kettles for you, let you down and leave you pot boiling. instead of kettle watching. Loved your bit of fun Trevor.. xPenx
This new setup with comments keeps fooling me , I nearly log-in to to Facebook by mistake, and not having or wanting a Facebook account, this adds another dimension to commenting. 🙂 xx

    • A replacement was purchased today along with a nice new filter coffee pot (I broke my cafetiere the other week too 😦 ), so alls good in Trevor Towers once again 🙂
I see what you mean about this new commenting box! Don’t like it one bit but I guess it will stay.
