Monday Movies

Cover of "City of God"

I get the luxury of having Mondays off work, so today I watched two and a bit films

City of God 23/01/12 Really liked it (would watch again) – Really enjoyed this tough Brazilian true life drama. I’m not normally one for subtitles but this really caught me and took me on a journey. It tells the true story of ‘Rocket’ as he grows up in the ghettos of Rio De Janeiro. The violence in the ghetto is astounding as kids as young as five carry weapons, fight and die in the gang wars! I’d reccomend this even if you’re not keen on subtitled films, it’s one I will watch again.
Spaceballs 23/01/12 Hated It! – Total garbage!
Robot Jox 23/01/12 Didn't like it much – Great idea, still a poor film but I did see it through to the bitter end.
