As time runs out and we start anticipating the end,
we will all take stock if given the luxury.
Ultimately, we all came from the same place,
built from stardust each and every one of us.
Random gatherings that make up our being,
all the environments of our living moments.
Our starbursts fleeting in the millennia of time,
shooting stars that shine then burn to nothing.
In that brief moment we live our lives,
some so much briefer and brighter than others.
Some of us reach the most amazing heights,
helping humanity take another faltering step.
Others bleed humanity dry with their greed
for money or power over others, often both!
In the final accounting we are all but stardust,
and stardust we become once again when all is done.
In your final taking stock, ask yourself which you are,
did you really make a difference and was it all really worth it?
