I like:

My sausages well cooked, crispy bacon, runny yoked fried eggs, simple plain food cooked well. Watching football, walking by the river, walking along the beach, reading a good book. Good company, good coffee or tea. Beer, Bourbon, Single Malt Whiskey

I don’t like:

Curry, any spicy foods. Politicians or people that talk about politics. Tennis or golf. White Rum or any of these so called alco-pop drinks, if you’re going to drink alcohol, drink it neat, just as it is meant to be!

This is a nickname I first got tagged with in the early days of CB’s and it is one I’ve become rather fond of over the years. Not many people have ever really called me by the handle other than other CB users but I like it and have used it on several websites over the years as my username.

The telautograph, an analog precursor to the modern fax machine, transmits electrical impulses recorded by potentiometers at the sending station to servomechanisms attached to a pen at the receiving station, thus reproducing at the receiving station a drawing or signature made by the sender. It was the first such device to transmit drawings to a stationary sheet of paper; previous inventions in Europe had used rotating drums to make such transmissions. So why call my blog Trev’s Telautograph? I thought it sounded rather cool and a bit different 😉

my read shelf:
Trevor's book recommendations, liked quotes, book clubs, book trivia, book lists (read shelf)

I got into reading Sci-Fi at school, my first real Sci-Fi book was John Wyndham’s The Chrysalids, since then I’ve pretty much stuck to the genre sometimes reading avidly for weeks then others not reading at all for months at a time. I guess I just have to be in the right frame of mind to sit down and read but when I am in that state I read 2 sometimes 3 books a week!

Looking at life in a new way, finally employed after 3 years unemployed! I smoke and enjoy the odd social drink. I enjoy writing though I suspect it is not of great interest to the majority of people. I do write the odd short story when the mood takes me, these may well end up on my blog as entries when I do hit the keys with menace.

I listen to a lot of music, probably more than anything else music has been my lifelong hobby and interest. It has helped me through the good times and just lately, the not so good, in fact I really don’t know where I’d be without my CD collection right now!

My main genre is rock/classic rock, I will post a list of my listening habits later on down the page somewhere.

From memory the first record I bought with my own money was Chickory Tip and Son Of My Father, a rather electric glam single from the early 70’s. The first record I really fell in love with was Wizzard and See My Baby Jive, even today it is one of my favourite singles and gets a regular play on my CD player or PC. The first album I bought was again Wizzard with Wizzard Brew, a rather jazzy prog rock album, very different from the type of music they turned into singles and no singles appear on this album.
